What are your views on the general principles of the Bill and
the need for legislation to deliver the Welsh Government’s
stated policy objective (to make the Senedd a more effective
legislature by ensuring it is broadly representative of the gender
make-up of the population)?
My main concern that the Welsh Government
action is legal. Do they have the devolved power to do this? Has
this been checked? If they do not have the devolved power is this
just a massive waste of money in a cost of living crisis? If they
do have the devolved power will it make a difference? The bill is
not transparent/ it sounds good in Theory but your talking about
people who identify as women - so men as well as women.
What are your views on the system of enforcement and potential
sanctions for non-compliance proposed in the Bill?
Don’t think it will get that far
Are there any potential barriers to the implementation of the
Bill’s provisions? If so, what are they, and are they
adequately taken into account in the Bill and the accompanying
Explanatory Memorandum and Regulatory Impact Assessment?

I don’t think the Senedd know what an
assessment is

legislation appropriate?
